Bullying

            Bullying is a crime and considered crude in today’s society. Logging on any form of social media there will be prime examples of bullying that happens on a daily basis. Bullying comes in many different forms and fashion and, sometimes the bully doesn’t even realize he is harming the victim. This causes issues that could lead to legal cases or conflict between people and families.

            Words have always been told that they can cut deeper than knifes, the stronger they are the deeper the cut. Any form of the way things is said to what was said can hurt someone. Not every person was raised that same and different people take words differently from way they were meant. So, the old saying, “sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me” may not be so true after all.

Not only does the words effect people but they can also bring legal troubles as well. If a person feels threatened or harmed by an individual’s words, there is people available for them to go to and address the issue. Punishment may vary depending on how severe the person was harmed. Bullying can occur through physical or mental abuse. The effects of bullying can harm a person mentally and physically as well. Bullying can result in harm of an individual and even self-harm.

            Cyber bullying is one of the most common forms of bullying. Any form of social media is considered in the cyber stage. Behind the computer screen, phone screen, or in an ad somewhere, anyone can feel as powerful as they please and can say just about anything. This leaves a lot of room for bullying to take place. Such as comments on a picture or just an edited version of a pictures just to make people laugh can affect people in many negative ways.

            Bullying impacts teenagers of society today more than ever. The teenage population has greater access to new technologies allowing for a greater chance of bullying. New technologies include smart phones, smart watches, etc. that allow for a quick and easy access to social media.  Cyber-bullying is one of the most common forms of bullying among teenagers today. A bully can easily hide behind a device and put hurtful words on the internet for anyone to see. Anything put on the internet is accessible for anyone to see.  The devastating effects of bullying has a negative impact on all ages of society.
