Words have always been told that they can cut deeper than
knifes, the stronger they are the deeper the cut. Any form of the way things is
said to what was said can hurt someone. Not every person was raised that same
and different people take words differently from way they were meant. So, the
old saying, “sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me”
may not be so true after all.
Not
only does the words effect people but they can also bring legal troubles as
well. If a person feels threatened or harmed by an individual’s words, there is
people available for them to go to and address the issue. Punishment may vary
depending on how severe the person was harmed. Bullying can occur through
physical or mental abuse. The effects of bullying can harm a person mentally
and physically as well. Bullying can result in harm of an individual and even
self-harm.
Cyber bullying is one of the most common forms of
bullying. Any form of social media is considered in the cyber stage. Behind the
computer screen, phone screen, or in an ad somewhere, anyone can feel as
powerful as they please and can say just about anything. This leaves a lot of
room for bullying to take place. Such as comments on a picture or just an
edited version of a pictures just to make people laugh can affect people in
many negative ways.
Bullying impacts teenagers of society today more than
ever. The teenage population has greater access to new technologies allowing
for a greater chance of bullying. New technologies include smart phones, smart
watches, etc. that allow for a quick and easy access to social media. Cyber-bullying is one of the most common
forms of bullying among teenagers today. A bully can easily hide behind a
device and put hurtful words on the internet for anyone to see. Anything put on
